Morgan is Simple Studio’s Creative Director. He is heavily design focused and works across both residential and commercial projects, providing unique and innovative solutions to client briefs. Morgan is a formally trained Interior Designer, graduating from RMIT University in 1998.
His first position out of university was a junior role with large window furnishings manufacturer The Lidi Group in Melbourne, later re-locating to Sydney to establish their NSW Operations. It was here that Morgan developed a passion for luxury residential design and in particular, a love of textiles and their applications in the window furnishing industry.
Prior to establishing Simple Studio, Morgan contracted to Poliform Australia‘s trade and project division as Business Development Manager, working with high-end Italian brands such as Poliform, Varenna and Flexform, further honing his skills in the luxury residential market.
Morgan returned to the window furnishing industry to develop the Simple Studio brand in 2004, having discovered a niche in the Sydney market for a high-end supplier with an emphasis on luxury residential and boutique commercial projects. The result brought a more modern approach; along with some much needed polish to an industry that had previously left Sydney’s design elite wanting.
Despite Simple Studio’s formidable growth since inception, Morgan continues to work directly on client projects, as well as providing the creative direction for his team of skilled consultants.
Robert is Simple Studio’s Managing Partner and the mastermind behind all things process and organisational. If it can be simplified, streamlined or expedited, Robert is the one to do it.
Prior to establishing Simple Studio alongside Morgan in 2004, Robert had found great success across a diverse range of industries. Initially hospitality trained, he owned and operated a successful restaurant in Perth’s Subiaco before moving to Sydney to take up a position with top-flight commercial furniture company Stylecraft Australia. From here Robert worked on 5 star hotel FF&E projects with the Stockland Group and most recently was head administrator for large Architectural practice Marchese + Partners, where he managed operations and finance for a team of 50 Architects.
As a product of Simple Studio’s growth and the evolution of our team, Robert’s role more recently has morphed to include the Project Management of some of our most challenging and highly detailed luxury residential projects.
Working closely with our production team, Robert oversees the manufacturing of our hand finished bespoke curtains and soft furnishings, where his acute attention to detail assures our clients of exacting quality and outstanding results every time.
Jaymes is Simple Studio’s Sales and Design Consultant and has been a team member since 2006.
Prior to joining Simple Studio, Jaymes was employed by high-end window furnishing manufacturer Silent Gliss in a sales and technical role, where he developed an impressive knowledge of the myriad blind and curtaining systems available.
Since joining Simple Studio Jaymes has developed a keen design sensibility, which combined with his technical know-how, assures our clients in both the contract and residential sectors of the right advice on product selection and integration every time. As our in-house automation guru, Jaymes is always armed with the most current information on the latest motorisation and control systems on offer from our motorisation partners Somfy and how these integrate with the various building control systems used in today’s building designs.
Jaymes has been instrumental in developing Simple Studio’s contract portfolio and works closely with numerous top-tier construction firms on significant commercial projects such as multi-unit residential developments, office fitouts, hospitality / resort projects and government education facilities. It is in this arena that Jaymes’ in-depth technical knowledge and project management skills really shine.
Lee takes care of the day-to-day administration at Simple Studio and is the glue that holds the place together. He has been a team member since 2005 and was in fact the first recruit to join Morgan and Robert in the very beginning.
Strongly customer service oriented, he is the smiling face at front of house and an impressive first point of contact. Fast, efficient and friendly, Lee takes care of all initial enquiries and ensures Simple Studio clients receive the most attentive service possible.
Our go-to person for logistics, Lee manages to get Simple Studio’s products from one side of the country to the other with a minimum of fuss. Lee also oversees our team of installers and can always be relied upon to have his finger firmly on the pulse of each and every project, providing Simple Studio clients with prompt and personalised service.
Owen is Simple Studio’s Head Installer. He brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to Simple Studio, having worked on the tools since 1995.
Owen’s on-site work represents the ultimate realisation of a Simple Studio design idea into its built environment. A sharp eye and steady hand ensure Simple Studio products are installed with the highest level of care and precision, essential in achieving the outstanding results we have become renowned for delivering.
Owen works collaboratively alongside other trades and builders on construction sites to ensure the entire installation process runs as smoothly as possible. His trademark unflappability ensures a stress-free installation process for all concerned.
